Resort: Playa Blanca in Lanzarote
Playa Blanca is a nice vibrant resort with wonderful sandy beaches, including the beautiful nature reserve of Papagayo, and a lively promenade perfect for families. You'll find a wide selection of places to eat including steak houses, fast food outlets, traditional tapas bars and some excellent fine dining. Here is also ideal if you want to step out for a late night with some fun bars and clubs open until the early hours. There are many shops selling local art, crafts and fresh produce. Also, be sure to check out the pretty coastal walks for some great seaviews or head to the harbour where you'll see fishing boats and ferries sailing to nearby Fuerteventura. From here you can hop on a water taxi to Marina Rubicon, home to moored yachts, relaxed pavement cafés and tasty seafood restaurants. Grab a bargain or two in the resort with a number of markets running during the week selling local arts and crafts.
